Mission & Vision

Committed to Bringing Hope and Healing to Cancer Patients

At Kiran Patients Welfare Society (KPWS), we strive to provide comprehensive support to cancer patients and their families. Our mission and vision reflect our unwavering commitment to raising awareness, ensuring early detection, and providing holistic care for those affected by cancer.

Mission

Our mission at KPWS is to offer compassionate care, empower patients, and improve the overall quality of life for those battling cancer. We aim to create a supportive community that ensures no patient feels alone in their journey. By providing access to affordable treatment, counseling services, and educational resources, we hope to reduce the burden on patients and their families.

We believe in spreading awareness about cancer prevention and early diagnosis to save lives. Through our programs and services, we focus on empowering individuals with the knowledge they need to make informed health decisions.

Vision

Our vision is a world where no life is lost to cancer due to lack of awareness or resources. We dream of a future where every individual, regardless of their financial situation, has access to the best possible care and support.

KPWS envisions being a beacon of hope for cancer patients, offering them a holistic care system that nurtures their physical, emotional, and mental well-being.

MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRPERSON OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Dr Aman Kassim Machiyara

As we embark on a new chapter in the journey of Kiran Patients Welfare Society (KPWS), I am deeply humbled and honored to be part of this noble mission—one that seeks to provide free cancer treatment to those in need, driven by our commitment to serving humanity and, above all, seeking the pleasure of Allah.

The challenges of cancer treatment, particularly in Sindh, are vast and daunting. Yet, the very foundation of KPWS is built on the determination to confront these obstacles head-on. Our unwavering goal remains clear: to ensure that no patient is denied essential cancer care due to financial constraints.

Reflecting on our remarkable journey, KPWS has grown from serving just 370 patients in its first year to its current capacity of administring chemotherapy to over 12,000 patients per annum. This achievement was made possible by the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our supporters.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to my fellow trustees, whose vision and commitment have been instrumental in the achivements of KPWS. With Allah’s guidance and your continued support, I am confident that we will overcome every challenge and continue to serve with compassion, dedication, and excellence.

May Allah bless our efforts, guide our path, and grant us the strength to make a lasting difference in the lives of those who depend on us.

MESSAGE FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dr. Agshar H. Asghar

Karachi Institute of Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine (KIRAN), established in 1999 by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), is one of the largest cancer treatment centers in Karachi. The hospital is fully equipped with comprehensive diagnostic and treatment facilities for cancer patients. Our dedicated team of oncologists brings expertise and commitment to providing the highest quality care.

Currently, we cater to approximately 500 patients daily, with an annual follow-up of over 100,000 patients. Cancer treatment involves surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy, all of which can be financially challenging. However, with the support of the KIRAN Patient Welfare Society (KPWS), financial constraints do not become a barrier to treatment. KPWS ensures that underprivileged patients receive the necessary care without difficulty.

I extend my best wishes to the trustees of KPWS and pray to Almighty Allah to grant us the strength to continue this noble mission.
